MUSIC AT SAINT MARK

Minister of Music Martin Smith leads the music program, with vocal & instrumental performance ensembles. Congregational singing is an important part of our worship, led by Saint Mark's choir, instrumentalists &

special performance groups. A Wicks pipe organ & Yamaha grand piano are featured during worship.

Saint Mark's Folk Group plays contemporary & traditional worship music on a regular basis, sometimes joined by guest musicians.

The church sponsors multiple concerts throughout the year, both in our acoustically remarkable sanctuary & in the more relaxed fellowship hall. At left, White Rabbit Theatre company performs at the recent Jacob's Well Cabaret, raising funds to support people in less-advantaged countries through the ELCA World Hunger program.

Saint Mark has enjoyed a 10-year relationship with the wolrd-class chamber ensemble Cuatro Puntos.

Meaning "four points" in Spanish,

Cuatro Puntos is a non-profit that activates music as a pragmatic and universally accessible stimulus for social change, cultural awareness, and empowerment of the underserved. The group hosts mixed-genre concert series in multiple cities, as well as, music/curriculum alignment programs in school classrooms. Connecting with artists around the world, Cuatro Puntos works with guest artists for in-person and virtual events, emphasizing artists who are cultural keepers of threatened art forms & working to serve others.
