Pastor

Saint Mark has begun the process of working with the New England Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), for taking a new look at our future & expected needs for a pastor. This process is likely to take several months.

Through Easter, Pastor James Krauser is presiding & preaching at Saint Mark on most Sundays. Pr. Krauser currently lives in Bristol, CT, & was ordained in 1986, first serving as an intern in Auburn, MA. He served as associate pastor in Easton, PA, then pastor of congregations in Richmond Hill (Queens), NY, Port Jefferson Station, NY, & North Bellmore, NY, all on Long Island. Pr. Krauser was also active in the New York Synod & Churchwide Assemblies. He officially retired in 2024. Pr. Krauser studied voice & organ, speaks German & enjoys cooking, baking, concerts, theater & travel.

On a couple Sundays, former Saint Mark Pastor John Marschhausen has presided & preached.

After Easter, Saint Mark will most likely be served by an “interim pastor,” someone specially trained to help members through the transition to a new pastor or ministry. We'll do our best to keep you updated on who will be "in the pulpit."
